For A Day Survival, apply that principle throughout the Anzio campaign: avoid being sent back to the spawn screen.

Stay close to friendly infantry when your squad is running out of soldiers. When every other member of your squad is dead, approaching another friendly infantry squad lets you automatically join it and switch between its members.

That automatic squad joining does not apply to tank, aircraft, or artillery crews. Do not rely on a nearby vehicle crew to provide the same escape route.

Use these tactics during a survival attempt:

• Choose a marksman role to reduce your exposure to close combat.
• Keep friendly infantry within reach when your squad takes heavy losses.
• Consider an aircraft crew to stay away from much of the ground fighting.
• Play the attacking side when you want more room to keep your distance from direct combat.
